Audio Insight
find where audio breaks your voice-agent calls

What is Audio Insight?
Tyto (Audio Insight) is a lightweight AI model from ai-coustics that sits at the front of your Voice AI pipeline to analyze incoming audio streams. It outputs one aggregate risk score that predicts the likelihood of downstream failures across speech-to-text (STT), voice activity detection (VAD), turn-taking, and speech-to-speech models. The tool decomposes audio degradation into six explanatory dimensions: noise, interfering speech, reverb, packet loss, loudness, and background media.
Key features include real-time analysis with 30ms latency, CPU-only operation (no GPU needed), on-premise deployment with no audio leaving your infrastructure, and native integrations for every major Voice AI framework. You can run Tyto live during calls to provide audio context and steer agent behavior dynamically, or use it for post-call analysis to automatically flag and diagnose problematic sessions.
Tyto is designed for Voice AI developers, agent builders, and companies building voice agents who need to understand why their agents fail. It helps identify audio-caused failures such as poor transcription due to noise, missed speech due to reverb, or turn-taking errors from packet loss. The tool is suitable for startups to enterprise-scale operations covering 100% of traffic in real time or offline.
Audio Insight pricing
Pricing model: Freemium
The ai-coustics SDK offers a 30-day free trial with unlimited usage of the full-featured SDK at no cost, including production testing. No credit card required for trial. Paid plans are monthly license subscriptions with usage-based tiers: Startup ($149/month includes 100,000 minutes at $0.0015/minute), Pro ($399/month includes 300,000 minutes at $0.00135/minute), Business ($599/month includes 500,000 minutes at $0.0012/minute), and Enterprise (1,000,000+ minutes with custom pricing). All plans include on-premise deployment, real-time processing under 30ms, language agnostic support (100+ languages), and Discord support. Enterprise adds custom audio evaluations, priority access to new models/beta features, volume discounts, and dedicated Slack channel. Usage is measured by audio duration in minutes with millisecond granularity. Payment processed via Stripe. Custom enterprise agreements offer pay-as-you-go tiered pricing for volumes above standard tiers.

Frequently asked questions about Audio Insight
What is Tyto and what does it do?
Tyto is a lightweight audio analysis model from ai-coustics that scores incoming audio streams for Voice AI. It outputs one aggregate risk score predicting the likelihood of downstream failures across speech-to-text, voice activity detection, turn-taking, and speech-to-speech models, plus six explanatory dimensions (noise, reverb, loudness, interfering speech, background media, packet loss) to diagnose exactly why audio is degraded.
Can I test Tyto before subscribing?
Yes, you can test the ai-coustics SDK for 30 days from account creation for free, including in production. Simply create an account on the Developer Platform, generate a license key, and follow the documentation guides. No credit card is required to start the trial.
Can I use Tyto in production during the free trial?
Yes, ai-coustics allows unlimited production testing during the 30-day evaluation period. You can test freely in production without any limits to created keys or processed minutes for the first 30 days from account creation.
What happens if I exceed my monthly minute allowance?
The SDK will continue to working even if you exceed your monthly minute allowance. You'll receive a notification when approaching the limit. If you go over, the team will reach out to gently remind you to upgrade your plan or discuss Enterprise pricing.
How is usage measured for pricing?
Usage is calculated based on the duration of audio in minutes processed by the engine, with millisecond-level granularity. For example, if your application is open for 1 hour but you only process 10 minutes of conversation, you are deducted 10 minutes from your quota, not the full hour.
Can I monitor my usage myself?
Self-service usage monitoring for the SDK will be available very soon. Currently, if you need to check your current usage, you must reach out via Discord or contact support. The team is actively working on a dashboard for direct SDK usage monitoring.
Do you offer annual billing instead of monthly?
Subscription packages require monthly billing. However, Enterprise plans are more flexible and monthly, quarterly, or annual plans can be discussed directly with sales.
What payment methods are supported?
All subscription payments are processed by Stripe. You'll need a payment method supported by Stripe to subscribe to a paid plan after the free trial.
Is there a minimum contract period?
No, there is no minimum contract period. Plans renew on a monthly basis and you can cancel at any time without penalty.
Can I get a custom quote for large volumes?
Yes, if you're interested in a custom quote for a larger volume of minutes, you can reach out directly to ai-coustics. Enterprise plans include custom audio evaluations, priority access to new models and beta features, and volume-based commercial terms with pay-as-you-go tiered pricing.
