How do I save messages?
You can create a saved message by creating a message in the editor and going to your Saved Messages, setting a name, and clicking Save Message. Messages can be saved to your personal Discord account or to a Discord server so all admins can access them. You can access saved messages from any device by logging in with your Discord account.
What are Interactive Components?
Interactive Components are buttons and select menus that you can add to messages to allow users to interact with them. Buttons can have up to 5 rows with 5 buttons each (25 total). Select menus work like dropdowns and you can add up to 5, each taking one button row space with up to 25 options each. They are only available after logging in and selecting a channel.
What button styles are available?
There are different button styles. The first 4 styles change the color and appearance of your button. The last style is special - the Link button style makes a direct link to a website. Other button styles can respond with a message or assign roles to users.
What are Actions?
Actions define what happens when a user interacts with components or runs custom commands. Types include Text Response (public or private), Saved Message Response, and Add/Remove/Toggle Roles. Normally you can add 2 actions per component, but Premium subscribers can add up to 5.
What are Custom Commands?
Custom Commands allow you to add your own slash commands to your Custom Bot that server members can use by typing /. They can have arguments, respond with messages, or assign roles. This feature is only available to Embed Generator Premium subscribers. You must set up your Custom Bot before creating commands.
What are Message Variables?
Message variables dynamically adjust message content based on context, useful for responses to custom commands and interactive components. Use {{ .VariableName }} format. Examples include .Interaction.User.Mention to ping the user, .Server.Name for server name, .Channel.Mention for channel mention. They are powered by Go Templates supporting if statements and loops.
How do I assign roles with buttons?
Use the Add, Remove, or Toggle Roles actions on buttons or select menus. Embed Generator can only assign roles it has permissions for. Make sure the Embed Generator role is above all roles you want to assign and it has Manage Roles permissions. By default it sends a text response when a role is added/removed.
What is White Label?
White Label lets you integrate your own bot into Embed Generator to change the username and avatar of responses to buttons and select menus. This gives you full custom branding control over how interactive component responses appear to users.
