What is Lore?
Lore is a mental health app that helps users think more clearly about everyday situations and decisions by providing AI-powered self-reflection conversations. At its core is LoreBot, a generative AI chatbot trained in Solution Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) that asks questions to help users see things differently and gain clarity on what to do. Users chat about whatever is taking up their attention—from little things to big things—and leave conversations with a better sense of direction.
The app includes an anonymous online community where people share what they're working through and what they've learned, allowing users to compare notes and see what fits. Lore helps users notice patterns like what throws them off, what helps things hold up in everyday life, and what matters enough to stick with. Over time, these small moments add up to real improvements in finances, relationships, and health.
Lore is designed for anyone seeking everyday mental health support, particularly traditional Medicare beneficiaries who have or are at risk for chronic disease, as well as employees through employer health plans. It is offered through participating organizations like Medicare Advantage plans and employers. The app is free to use with no ads and no lectures, and eligible users can earn up to $600 annually in rewards for using the platform.
Key features include confidential text-based conversations where users set the pace and topic, the anonymous community available 24/7, Lore experiences to make progress in targeted areas, and a rewards system that converts points to reloadable gift cards. Lore meets HITRUST e1 security certification standards and ensures users control their data.
