What is PlugVet?

PlugVet is an independent directory of AI agent skills, plugins and MCP servers from Claude Code, Cursor and Codex. Each entry gets an automated hygiene grade (A to D) with the checks behind it and the date it was checked. It is aimed at people who build with coding agents, ship vibe-coded apps, or make games.

PlugVet pros

  • Covers Claude Code skills, Cursor plugins, Codex plugins and MCP servers in one place
  • Each grade shows what was checked and the date, so users can see the evidence
  • Payment is stated not to change a grade
  • Paid reports, grade challenges and F grades are said to be checked by hand

PlugVet cons

  • Free A to D grades are automated and not reviewed by hand
  • Grades are hygiene checks, not a security guarantee, and can go stale after a later change
  • The free scanner is marked 'coming soon' and is not connected yet
  • F-graded entries are held back and not listed in the directory

Frequently asked questions about PlugVet

Is a PlugVet grade a security guarantee?

No. A grade is a hygiene check. The site says it is not proof that a tool is safe.

What is checked for a grade?

The source code is read, and eight checks are run on each entry. They cover permissions, install and update steps, network use, secrets, agent instructions, obfuscation, licence and maintainer activity.

Are the free grades reviewed by a person?

No. Free directory grades (A to D) are automated. The site says the owner personally checks every paid report, every grade challenge and every F grade.

What types of entries are listed?

Claude Code skills, Cursor plugins, Codex plugins and MCP servers.

Can I check a GitHub repo's grade directly?

The site has a lookup page for GitHub links. A repo scanner, where you paste any GitHub repo to get a grade, is listed as coming soon.
