What format does my video need to be in?
Submitted videos must be in one of the following formats: .mp4 and .mov. These are the only supported video file formats for SignStudio translation.
What sign languages do you support?
We currently support the translation of English text into British Sign Language (BSL) or American Sign Language (ASL). We plan to support additional languages and sign languages in the future, but currently only BSL and ASL are available.
Can you translate on-the-fly messages?
While we are not currently able to support the translation of on-the-fly messages, this is a capability we are working towards. SignStream is best suited for informal and creative use cases without human verification.
How fast are translations generated?
Translations are generated within 2 seconds with transparent or colored backgrounds. Our RESTful API returns videos in less than 2 seconds for seamless integration into your workflow.
What is the minimum upload length for videos?
Minimum 1-minute uploads are required. You cannot upload videos shorter than 1 minute for translation on any SignStudio plan.
Does Signapse include watermarks on translated videos?
The Starter plan includes a Signapse watermark on all translated videos. The Pro plan and higher tiers do not include a watermark, giving you clean professional output.
How does the AI translation process work?
Signapse uses a large library of qualified sign language videos to maximize translation accuracy. The AI chooses a combination of sign language videos based on your content, blends them seamlessly with natural transitions and accurate grammar, then adds the sign language videos to your content.
What customization options are available for translated videos?
You can choose a colored background behind your signer, upload subtitles, add your company logo, and select signer size (small, medium, large). Enhanced customization options are available on Pro and Team plans.
