What is Workspace?

GPT for Sheets™ and Docs™ is an AI agent add-on for Google Sheets and Google Docs that brings ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, Perplexity, Mistral, and other AI models directly into your spreadsheet and document workflow. The tool automates formulas, formatting, data cleanup, pivots, charts, enrichment, analysis, bulk content generation, and translation from a single plain-language prompt. It reads your data, figures out the necessary steps, and executes directly in your sheet without requiring prompt engineering or configuration screens.

Key features include the ability to write, fix, and explain formulas; clean and standardize messy data; split, merge, and reorganize columns and rows; remove duplicates and validate values; apply formatting and conditional formatting; create insights and reports; and build pivot tables and charts. For bulk processing at scale, it handles bulk content generation and rewriting, bulk translation and localization, bulk categorization and tagging, bulk extraction from unstructured text, bulk data enrichment and web research, bulk image analysis, and bulk fuzzy matching and deduplication. The agent can reach up to 1,000 requests per minute peak depending on model latency and task complexity.

The tool is designed for teams and agencies across functions including e-commerce, SEO, digital marketing, sales, CRM Ops, market research, media monitoring, data analysts, accounting, finance, and HR Ops. It works directly in Google Sheets with no copy/paste workflow, uses a natural-language prompt interface, delivers strong bulk performance for high-volume use cases, offers AI-provider flexibility with bring-your-own-key options, and includes outstanding human support from a specialized team. It is ISO 27001 certified, GDPR compliant, offers Zero Data Retention, and supports SSO through Google OIDC.

Frequently asked questions about Workspace

How does pay-as-you-go pricing work?

You buy a credit pack once starting at $29. Credits are consumed each time you use GPT for Work. There is no subscription, no monthly fee, and no per-seat charge. You only pay for what you actually use. Your whole team shares one credit balance with no per-seat waste.

Can my team share credits?

Yes. Credits are pooled at the workspace level, meaning one balance is shared across all team members. This eliminates per-seat waste and allows you to scale with usage rather than headcount. Add users without adding per-seat fees.

Do I need a ChatGPT or Copilot subscription?

No. GPT for Work has its own pricing and AI access. You don't need any other AI subscription like ChatGPT, Copilot, Claude, or Gemini to use this tool.

Can I use my own API key?

Yes. You can use your own API keys or custom endpoints and pay your provider directly for model usage. GPT for Work charges a $1 per 1M token platform fee when using your own API key. Your data flows directly to your provider.

How do I control spending?

Set a monthly spending limit for your team or per user from the dashboard. Once the limit is reached, usage pauses automatically. You can also pause all usage with one click anytime. You can never spend more than your credit balance.

Do credits expire?

Credits are valid for 12 months after your most recent purchase. Each new purchase resets the clock for all your credits, so regular top-ups keep your credits valid indefinitely.

How much does bulk processing cost?

Cost depends on the task, text per row, and model chosen. Simple jobs like reformatting can cost as little as cents per 1,000 rows. Complex jobs like translation or categorization can cost several US dollars per 1,000 rows. You can estimate usage using the pricing estimator on their website.

What AI models are supported?

GPT for Work supports models from OpenAI (GPT-5.5, GPT-5.4, GPT-4.1, GPT-4o, o1, o3-mini, and more), Anthropic (Claude 4.7 Opus, Claude 4.6 Opus, Claude 4 Sonnet), Google (Gemini 2.5 Flash, Gemini 2.5 Pro), Perplexity (Sonar, Sonar Pro), Mistral, DeepSeek, xAI (Grok), and Parallel. GPT for Docs only supports OpenAI and Anthropic models.

Is my data used to train AI models?

No. Whether you use a model with or without an API key, Talarian does not use your Inputs and Outputs to train language models. The AI provider APIs they rely on (when using Talarian's own API keys) also do not use your data to train their models as of July 2025.

What security certifications does GPT for Work have?

GPT for Work is ISO 27001 certified, GDPR compliant, and has CASA Tier 3 certification for Google. It offers Zero Data Retention, encryption in transit and at rest with 256-bit AES, SSO through Google OIDC or Microsoft Entra ID, and undergoes annual third-party security assessments. Data is hosted on Google Cloud Platform with FIPS 140-2 validated encryption.
