What is Euno?

Euno is an AI context platform for enterprise data that transforms metadata into trusted, automated context for AI agents. It maps existing metadata by stitching together column-level lineage across data warehouses, dashboards, and metrics, enriched with field-level usage data and custom properties with automated rule-based labels. The platform enables data teams to declutter their data environment, cut costs, and automate governance at scale while providing AI agents like Claude and Cursor with the real-time context they need to understand data and deliver trusted results.

Key features include complete column-level lineage from warehouse to BI, automated labeling of assets as certified/PII-free/healthy/AI-ready based on custom governance rules, PII exposure tracking through the business layer, governance workflows that trigger notifications and recommendations, conversational discovery via the Euno Assistant, and context delivery to external AI agents at query time tailored to user persona and task. The platform integrates seamlessly with the modern data stack including dbt, Snowflake, Databricks, and BI tools with zero onboarding lift.

Euno is designed for data teams at large and scale-up organizations, including analytics engineers, data governance professionals, CIOs, and heads of AI. It serves Fortune 500 companies and enterprises dealing with chaotic data environments where AI lacks context to navigate complex data ecosystems. The platform is ideal for organizations wanting to skip traditional data catalog phases and enable reliable enterprise AI.

Frequently asked questions about Euno

What is Euno?

Euno is a metadata management platform that powers governance automation and provides automated context for AI. It maps existing metadata by stitching together column-level lineage across warehouses, dashboards, and metrics, enriched with field-level usage and custom properties with automated rule-based labels. Euno activates this metadata to enable data teams to declutter, cut costs, and automate governance at scale while surfacing real-time context AI agents need to understand data and deliver trusted results.

How do I get started with Euno?

Start with the Quickstart Guide which walks you through connecting your first source and exploring your data model in 30 minutes. We recommend starting with dbt if you use it (shows transformations and logic with quick GitHub or dbt Cloud setup) or your Data Warehouse if you don't use dbt (maps entire warehouse structure with usage and cost data). Most integrations take 15-25 minutes to set up.

How often does Euno sync my data sources?

By default, sources sync daily. You can configure the sync frequency in the source settings or trigger manual syncs anytime through the interface.

Does Euno affect my data warehouse performance?

No. Euno only reads metadata and query logs. It doesn't query your actual data or impact warehouse performance in any way.

What integrations does Euno support?

Euno supports a variety of platforms including dbt (for transformations and logic), data warehouses like Snowflake and Databricks (for warehouse structure and usage data), and BI tools (for dashboards and data source usage). The Sources page lets you connect and manage these integrations, observing resource metadata, usage statistics, lineage information, and other relevant data.

What roles and permissions are available in Euno?

Euno supports three roles: Admin, Maintainer, and Viewer. Admins can manage everything in the platform, Maintainers can manage resources and sources, and Viewers have read-only access. You can invite team members through Account Management → Team Members → Invite and set roles and permissions for each user.

Can I use Euno programmatically?

Yes. Euno provides a Python SDK and REST API for programmatic access to your metadata and data model. See the Euno SDK documentation for details on how to use these programmatic interfaces.

What is EQL?

EQL (Euno Query Language) is a query language for finding resources in Euno. You can use it in the AI Assistant or in Workflows to filter and find resources in your data model. See the EQL Documentation for detailed usage information.

Can I control what resources are discovered?

Yes. Each source integration has filters to include or exclude specific schemas, databases, or projects. You can configure these filters based on the specific integration guide for your data source to control exactly what resources Euno discovers.

What happens if I disconnect a source?

Resources discovered by that source will be marked as 'orphaned' and can be cleaned up based on your resource cleanup settings. See the Resource Sponsorship documentation for details on how orphaned resources are handled and cleaned up.
