What are MTUs and how are they counted?
MTUs (Monthly Tracked Users) are the number of unique users that the blocks SDKs have been initialized with in a given month. These are users that might qualify for a flow, even if they don't end up qualifying for any. If you send Dopt all of your users, MTUs typically map to the number of monthly unique active users in your product. One user is one MTU regardless of how many Dopt flows they see.
What is an AI Assist?
An AI Assist is a single request made to Dopt's AI APIs. Each time a user uses 'Explain anything', brings up a 'Help hub', or asks a follow-up question, that counts as one AI Assist. The first 3,000 AI Assists are free every month on the Growth plan, and the free Starter tier includes 500 AI Assists per month.
How does Explain Anything work?
Explain Anything (also called Explain with AI) enables users to point at anything in your product and receive AI-powered, contextual assistance. It uses an AI model trained on your docs and automatically uses in-product context like rendered page contents to deliver relevant answers with cited sources. The assistance is on-demand, contextual, and always up to date. Users can also ask follow-up questions if they want to learn more.
What is the In-app Help Hub component?
The In-app Help Hub is a pre-built, customizable component that bundles together three parts: quick links, search, and Ask AI. It lets users build on-demand help and AI answers directly into their product to help users find resources and unblock themselves. The help hub provides on-demand contextual help, AI-powered Q&A, and semantic search trained on your documentation.
How does Spotlight semantic search work?
Spotlight brings semantic (natural language) search to your product. The semantic search uses AI to understand user queries to return results that contain similar concepts, not just exact word matches. This makes search results more intuitive and user-friendly by considering related terms and synonyms, so users can search for content using their own language.
What are Assistants in Dopt?
Assistants are AI models trained on your content. You can define sources for an assistant which allows Dopt to crawl publicly accessible websites like your docs or help center, or you can manually upload HTML to produce documents. Assistants can be queried with questions about your product (or anything) and provided with relevant context like what plan a user is on or what page they're asking from. These documents are used as inputs for the assistant's query responses.
What pre-built components does Dopt offer?
Dopt offers customizable React components including Checklist (action-oriented tasks to help users understand your product), Tour (guide users through new or updated features with built-in positioning and progression logic), Modal (pop-up dialog for welcomes, updates, or warnings), Card (embedded element for contextual highlights), Hints (on-demand contextual guidance accessed through a pulsing dot), Alert (time-sensitive information at the top of your app), and Badge (simple badge for new or important features). How does the visual flow builder work?
The visual flow builder lets your entire team map out targeting, components, content, and branching logic to create cohesive in-product user flows. A flow defines an end user's onboarding or education experience and is composed of connected blocks. Blocks define steps like Checklist and Tour component blocks, true/false branching blocks, and webhook blocks. Flows encapsulate user state like which blocks users have completed, and flows are versioned for easy deployment, restoration, and auditing across development environments.
What SDKs and integrations are available?
Dopt offers SDKs for JavaScript, React, Vue, and other web frameworks. The @dopt/javascript package is a JavaScript-only SDK for accessing and transitioning block state. You can use pre-built customizable React components or build headlessly with your own components.
