What is Playbook.com?
Playbook.com is an AI-powered media management platform that helps creative teams, agencies, and brands store, search, organize, and share visual assets in one secure workspace. The tool automatically tags every image and video by subject, mood, color, and scene upon upload, then suggests how to sort them into boards using its AI organize system. Users can talk directly to their creative files through natural language prompts, asking Playbook to organize by theme, bulk edit, create shared links, or send files to clients. Key features include AI autotagging, natural language search, AI workflows for chained actions (copy, crop, share in one prompt), board rules for auto-sorting new uploads, custom fields for structuring libraries by SKU/campaign/channel, conversational sidebar chat with files, review & approvals with pin comments to exact frames, versioning to compare asset iterations, desktop sync and mobile app access, and Playbook MCP/API for connecting to AI tools. The platform also offers 4K video streaming, CDN links, license & expiry tracking, and professional publish pages for client galleries. Playbook is designed for creative agencies, marketing teams, content agencies, brands, freelancers, solo creatives, studios, and SMBs who struggle with scattered drives and manual file organization. It serves teams of all sizes from 5,000+ teams with 10+ members to 500+ teams with 50+, including major companies like Warner Bros, Moët Hennessy, BlendJet, and SuperMush.

Frequently asked questions about Playbook.com
What is Playbook?
Playbook is an all-in-one file management platform designed as your creative HQ for both solo creatives and growing teams. It helps you store, organize, and share all types of files including images, videos, and more.
How does the Free plan work?
The Free plan includes 100GB of storage or 300 total assets, whichever comes first. It's perfect for individual creators and personal projects with up to 3 team members and 3 external guests.
How does AI tagging work?
Playbook uses AI to scan images, videos, and documents to assign descriptive tags automatically. AI tagging is fully available for the Team plan, while Free and Pro plans can try it by opening any asset and selecting 'Try AI tags' in the Info panel. Playbook never uses personal assets to train AI models or sell data to third parties.
Will my folder structure be preserved during upload?
Yes. When you drag a folder into Playbook, it automatically converts into a board, and nested folders become sub-boards, keeping your existing hierarchy intact. Downloading boards with sub-boards also preserves folder structure.
What type of files does Playbook support?
Playbook supports all file types. While it handles standard documents like DOCX, PDF, and XLSX, it is especially good at handling visual assets like RAW files, Adobe Creative Cloud files, and videos.
Can I invite someone to an individual board but not my entire workspace?
Yes. You can invite someone to a specific board as a Guest/Collaborator by clicking Invite in the top header of your board. You can set 'can manage' or 'view-only' permission for invited guests.
Do my visitors need a Playbook account to see my shared links?
No. Anyone with the link can view, filter, add comments, and download your assets without ever creating an account or signing in whenever you share a link or published board.
How is 'Publish' different from a default share link?
A default share is for quick ad-hoc sharing in the standard Playbook interface. Publish transforms your board into a professional standalone webpage with more customizations, making it ideal for brand kits, portfolios, and client galleries. Custom domains are not yet supported, so URLs still start with playbook.com.
How does auto deduplication work and can I disable it?
Playbook auto-magically identifies and removes exact visual file matches during every upload to keep your library tidy and save storage. You can disable it by navigating to Settings → AI features → toggle Auto-clean deduplicates OFF.
How can I purchase more storage?
When your workspace exceeds your plan's included storage, Playbook automatically adds 1TB of storage for $25/month to ensure no disruption to your workflow.
