Active Contacts are unique email IDs you connected with in a month. Every month the counter resets, and you can contact up to your plan limit of new unique email IDs again. Old contacts don't need deletion since credits only count new users contacted in the current month. The Pro Plan offers Unlimited Active Contacts.
How many campaign sequence steps can I create?
Unlimited. You can create as many sequence steps as you want for your cold email campaigns, allowing for comprehensive multi-step follow-up sequences without any restrictions.

If you started a campaign with 5,000 contacts in January continuing into February in the same campaign, it won't utilize February Active Contacts credits since credits only count on the first email of every sequence. Followups in subsequent months don't use additional credits.
